About Dr. Ginger Marshall

Dr. Ginger Marshall began her pre-chiropractic studies at local Community Colleges before graduating high school. She was so enthusiastic and determined to learn more about chiropractic, which had helped her recover from a motorcycle accident when she was fifteen years old.

"When I was a teenager, I raced dirt bikes with my family. One Saturday during a race, I fell off my bike after hitting a tree. I landed on my back and although I was a little sore, I finished the race thinking I was o.k. Over the next few weeks, my back became increasingly sore. I started getting headaches and I was tired all the time. My parents started to notice that I was sick, so they took me to the typical medical doctors who performed the typical tests."

Several weeks and several thousand dollars later we were told by the medical community that nothing was wrong with me. One medical doctor told my parents that I was depressed and prescribed anti-depressive medication. Thank goodness my parents did not accept that diagnosis and knew there was something wrong with my body. After asking friends and co-workers, someone recommended taking me to a chiropractor. My family was skeptical but we had nothing to lose and I was getting worse. The chiropractor examined me, took x-rays and found my back to be misaligned in several places. This was putting pressure on my nerves that was causing my back pain, my headaches and even causing me to be excessively tired. I started treatment and felt better almost immediately. After completing a course of treatment I was healed. In fact, I felt better than ever. I knew after that life changing experience what I wanted to do with my life.”

Dr. Marshall attended the University of Houston and was accepted to Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas. During her studies at Texas Chiropractic College, courses included biochemistry, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, nutrition, x-ray technique, diagnosis and ethics. She completed a neurosurgery rotation at Hermann Hospital and did volunteer work with the Multiple Sclerosis Society. In 1994 she received her Bachelors of Science and her Doctor of Chiropractic degrees from Texas Chiropractic College.
