The Chiropractor performed an extensive examination and took a series of x-rays to determine that his problem
was due to a misalignment of the L-5 vertebrae which, in turn, was causing pinching and irritation of the L-5/S-1 nerve roots. Because
those are the nerves that control the lower legs, the reduced nerve flow was causing the muscles in his lower legs to become weak and
underdeveloped. After receiving Chiropractic adjustments for 1 week his condition began to improve. A tingling sensation returned to
the feet and muscular strength slowly began to improve. Dr. Busby continued chiropractic treatment for several months. His symptoms
were gone and his muscle function in his lower legs was restored. His neurologist subsequently discharged him from care admitting a
possible misdiagnosis of his condition. The neurologist stated that, “CMT is a progressive condition that does not improve, and you
have definitely improved.” It was through this amazing experience that Dr. Busby knew where he belonged, helping others through
chiropractic.
Dr. Busby completed his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas where he was named Attending
Clinician Assistant, as well as, completing a medical rotation in the field of internal medicine at Bayshore Hospital.
